TESTIMONIALS

sesame oil & calamus seed powder

January 01, 2017

Sesame oil massage is aimed at the strengthening of body tissues which eventually helps in improving the appearance of skin. Sesame oil is well known for the treatment of many skin disorders.

Sesame oil takes away many environmental toxins and internal toxins (released by the liver to the skin), leaving the body detoxified.

Calamus seed powder traditionally been used medicinally. It is used for skin infections, allergies and rashes. During the treatment the powder is peeling the dead skin cells as well as preventing skin infections.

Tibetan singing bowls

December 04, 2016

During the treatments I use Tibetan singing bowls.

Tibetan Singing bowls produce unique, harmonic overtones sounds which invoke a deep state of relaxation which naturally assists one in entering into meditation.

Playing the bells usually causes an immediate centering effect.

Breathing to the rescue

November 01, 2016

States of mind are reflected in our breathing.

When we are excited, our breathing is quick and irregular, with no clear pace.

When we are depressed, our inhale is limited but our exhales are long, as with a sign or a flat breath.

When we are calm, breathing is so silent that it almost cannot be felt.

When we are listening carefully or concentrated, breathing stops for a few moments.

Just as breathing is affected by our state of mind, so can our mind be affected by our breathing, working from outwards within.

Everyone goes through emotional breakdowns, deep pain, anger or sorrow. If during these troubled times, we will try to breathe a silent breath, it will greatly help us to find some quiet and a peace of mind again.

Open up

October 24, 2016

At an early age in life we already learn to physically suppress our feelings by flexing muscles and limiting breath. As the years go by, this mechanism becomes automatic and chronic, and we lose the ability to fully experience and express some emotions. It is important to notice that just as we try to get away from “bad” emotions, so do we weaken our ability to experience positive feelings of love, happiness and joy.

Breathwork therapy is a powerful approach to self-exploration and healing.

This practice uses circular breathing, enchanting music, therapeutic touch and Tibetian singing bowls to allow access to non-ordinary states of conciseness.

The combination of these elements with my guidance will allow you to feel more connected to your deepest emotions.

This is my new favored stop in SF!
I came to Mayan for an Ayurvedic Massage with a back pain and shoulders tension. After the (very) relaxing treatment, I felt renewed, revived and inspired, like a new person from the outside and the inside.
Highly recommended.
